Obituary:

Sgt. Jason James McCluskey, of McAlester, OK died Thursday, November 4, 2010 in while serving his Country Afghanistan at the age of 26.

Jason was born September 12, 1984 to Jimmy and Delores (Darby) McCluskey in Stockton, California. Jason graduated from McAlester High School 2004 and joined the U.S. Army in April of 2006. Jason was stationed in Afghanistan with his Unit from Ft. Bragg, N.C. as a paratrooper.

Jason enjoyed wrestling, playing football and spending time with family and
friends.

He is survived by his son, Landen McCluskey of Coalgate; mother, Delores
Olivares and husband Ray of Lubbock, TX; father, Jimmy McCluskey of Stockton, CA; brother, Joshua Stambaugh of McAlester; step-father, Charlie Stambaugh of Montana; maternal grandmother, Wilma Kohl and husband Doyle of McAlester; paternal grandmother, Anita McCluskey of Stockton, CA; aunt, Lynn McCluskey of Stockton, CA; uncle Dusty Swing of McAlester; aunt, Sabrina Weeks and husband Gary of Poteau; cousins: Matt, Bruce, John, Aron Swing and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and a host of friends.

Jason is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, George Darby. The Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church, McAlester, OK with Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Tannehill Cemetery. Military honors provided by the Fort Sill Honor Guard, Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

The family will greet friends Friday, November 12, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home, McAlester, Oklahoma.

SStaging: Catfish King on the Sam's Warehouse Parking Lot. Gas is available on location. This is on the N.E. Corner of Hwy. 75 & 82 in Sherman.

Time: 7:00 am...I really don't like to sit around for extended periods.br>
KSU: 7:15 am SHARP...this is a very tight schedule so please be on time. OK, I'll try my best.

TTrip to McAlester is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours with a brief gas and restroom break in Atoka:

Total trip is around 100 miles from Sherman, TX.br>
